On November 15, 2019, Bamboo Airways’ Cam Ranh – Incheon scheduled flight officially took off, following the success of the first Da Nang – Incheon scheduled flight that the Airline opened on October 17.
Welcome new route
On November 15, at Cam Ranh International Airport, Nha Trang, Bamboo Airways officially launched the next regular route connecting Vietnam – South Korea: Cam Ranh – Incheon.
Representatives of Cam Ranh International Airport and Bamboo Airways cut the ribbon to inaugurate Cam Ranh – Incheon scheduled flight.
Bamboo Airways flight no. QH492 departed from Cam Ranh International Airport, Nha Trang at 21:55 on November 15, arrived at Incheon International Airport in Seoul, South Korea at 4:35 am local time. Flights of this route are operated by modern and fuel-saving Airbus A321neo aircraft.
Cam Ranh – Incheon flight follows the success of Da Nang – Incheon scheduled flight that Bamboo Airways launched on October 17, along with charter flights between the two countries that the Airline has been operating.

Strengthen Vietnam – Korea connection
Vietnam and South Korea have been the potential tourism markets of each other in recent years. According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, in the first 10 months of 2019, the number of South Korean visitors to Vietnam reached over 3.5 million, increasing by 22.1% on-year.
On the other hand, according to the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), for the last 5 years, the number of Vietnamese tourists visiting South Korea has experienced the highest average growth rate among countries in the Middle East Asia region, about 34.1%.
Ha Long, Da Nang, Hoi An and Nha Trang, etc. are South Korean tourists’ favorite Vietnamese destinations. In particular, according to Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, in the first 9 months of 2019, the number of South Korean visitors to this province reached 148,000, increasing by 3 times on-year. In QI/2019, South Korean visitors to Nha Trang increased by 10 times on-year, from more than 3,000 visitors to more than 30,000 visitors.
Recognizing the potential, Bamboo Airways has operated scheduled and charter flights from Da Nang, Nha Trang to South Korea, expecting to increase the transit of Vietnamese – South Korean tourists and promote tourism development, economical – cultural and social cooperation between the two countries.
Expand international flight network
Before Cam Ranh – Incheon route, the Global Travel News of South Korea also reported that Da Nang – Incheon, the Airline’s first scheduled flight between Viet Nam and South Korea launched on October 17, achieved unexpected success with the load factor of 95%.
Answering Global Travel News, Mr. Dang Tat Thang – Executive Vice Chairman of Bamboo Airways also said that the Carrier will operate some other regular routes connecting Vietnam and South Korea at the beginning of 2020.
Therefore, Bamboo Airways’ regular route connecting Nha Trang and Seoul plays an important role in realizing the Carrier’s plan to expand its international flight network, conquering South Korean market, reaching to other markets such as Japan, Taiwan, China, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, Czech Republic, etc.
