FLC Travel & Events Joint Stock Company (FLC Travel & Events), Travel Master Joint Stock Company (Korea) and Kon Tum province signed a 3-party memorandum of understanding on May 6, 2019 at FLC Landmark Tower (Hanoi). The MOU aims to develop and promote tourism products to attract more Korean tourists to Kon Tum.
The Signing Ceremony was attended by Mr. Le Ngoc Tuan – Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee – Standing Vice Chairman of Kon Tum Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Kim Yong Bum – Chairman of Board of Executives of Travel Master JSC. From FLC Group, Ms. Tran Thi My Lan – Deputy General Director of FLC Group; Ms. Tong Thi Thu Hien – General Director of FLC Travel & Events; Mr. Bui Quang Dung – Deputy General Director of Bamboo Airways and other division leaders attended the Ceremony.
According to the signed MOU, FLC Travel & Events will cooperate with Korean partners and Kon Tum province to attract Korean tourists and facilitate their visits to Vietnam and Kon Tum province with support of Bamboo Airways (FLC Group’s wholly owned airline). Besides, the three parties will cooperate to develop tourism packages of Kon Tum’s unique identity.
Connecting Kon Tom – Han Quoc’s tourism
This special partnership will help Kon Tum, in close cooperation of FLC Travel & Events and Travel Master from Korea to promote the development of cultured-based tourism products such as community and adventure tourism, eco-tourism, etc. Korean tourists will have opportunities to visit and explore local cultural heritage and enjoy luxury hospitality services that FLC Group is planning to develop in Kon Tum and Central Highlands.

Mr. Kim Yong Bum, Chairman of Travel Master praised impressive achievements Vietnam’s tourism has gained during recent years, and he shared many Korean travel businesses were seeking to enhance cooperation opportunities in Vietnam market.
“Travel Master is a Korea-based prestigious travel company with a wide network of agents. We believe the Signing Ceremony today will open up great opportunities to introduce Vietnam’s tourism to a large tourist community in Korea, especially with 5-star tourism and hospitality projects that FLC Group is developing,” said Mr. Kim Yong Bum.
Speaking at the Signing Ceremony, Deputy General Director of FLC Group Tran Thi My Lan noted Vietnam has been seeing a strong increase in the number of South Korea’s tourists in recent years. In 2018, Korean visitors to Vietnam reached nearly 3.5 million arrivals (out of a total of 15.5 million international arrivals), increasing by 44.3% on-year, making this country the second biggest feeder market for Vietnam tourism. The number is expected to grow more with the cooperation among businesses and local governments of the two countries.
“The cooperation between Kon Tum, FLC Travel & Events and Travel Master will create great opportunities to promote tourism in the two countries, accordingly strengthening the bilateral relationship,” emphasized Ms. Tran Thi My Lan.
Develop an “all-in-one” tourism ecosystem in Kon Tum
Central Highlands is a popular destination, widely-known for its pristine beauty and valuable cultural heritage. Kon Tum ranks second (after Lam Dong) in the Central Highlands in terms of quantity and growth rate of international visitors.
To boost tourism development and maintain tourism revenue growth in a sustainable way, Kon Tum in recent years has been focusing on improving the investment environment to attract more capital, creating momentum driving local socio-economic integration and development.
Many big investors including FLC Group have come to Kon Tum with large and synchronized investments in various fields. As one of the leading enterprises in Vietnam with extensive experience in real estate and tourism, FLC Group is known for its journey to “exploring potential lands” and its integrated and closed ecosystem, offering diverse products and services. The MOU signed by Kon Tum Province, Travel Master and FLC Travel & Events will be the basis for the parties to mutually support, expand and develop towards comprehensive cooperation in the future.
